Learn More about Patrice's Skills and Experience

As a geriatric millennial and mother of two, I intimately understand the complexities of the sandwich generation. My journey into senior care advocacy began in the most personal way possible, through my own family's experience navigating the healthcare system during one of life's most challenging periods.

In 2022, just one month after delivering my second child in the front seat of our car (yes, I delivered and caught him myself while my husband drove. Talk about an adrenaline rush!), my father called from California with devastating news: he had been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Without hesitation, he moved in with our family that fall to begin treatment at the Cleveland Clinic.

Suddenly, I found myself juggling the care of an infant and a four-year-old, supporting my husband’s career, managing our household and my career, all while becoming my father's primary caregiver and advocate through his cancer treatment. The sandwich generation experience had hit me like a freight train. I was caring for everyone except myself.

Despite our best efforts and the excellent care at Cleveland Clinic, my father passed away in October 2023. During that incredibly difficult time, I realized how desperately I needed support, resources and guidance, but found little available for families like mine navigating these complex situations.

Having gone through that experience I realized countless families face similar challenges without adequate support systems and I feel called to change that. My personal journey through the sandwich generation, combined with the grief of losing my father, showed me exactly what families need during these transitions: proactive planning, compassionate guidance, practical, accessible resources and someone who empathizes with what they're going through.

Through Butterfly Guides, I provide personalized support to families navigating senior care decisions, healthcare advocacy and life transitions. I specialize in helping find balance while ensuring loved ones receive the best possible care. My approach combines practical experience with deep empathy because I've walked this path myself.

I didn't get the support I needed during my family's journey but through Butterfly Guides, I'm doing my small part to ensure that other families have awareness and access to transition resources, so they don’t have to navigate these challenges alone. Every family deserves to have at least one advocate who understands both the emotional weight and practical complexities of caring for loved ones while continuing to live their lives.

When I'm not supporting families through Butterfly Guides, I'm busy with my family and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Go-To-Market (GTM) automation consultancy.

My mission is simple: to serve as a resource and connector, so other families can focus on what matters most – spending quality time with their loved ones.
